Mrs. Jones has been the school counselor at EWES since 2015-2016, and she LOVES it!
Prior to joining the elementary staff, she was still in the corporation at Eastern High School as the 9th/10th grade school counselor for nine years. She came to EWSC in 2006-2007 with nine years of teaching experience in grades 7-12; she taught English and journalism at Paoli Jr./Sr. High School and Scottsburg Middle School. So, with her teaching and counseling jobs and training, she has taught or counseled every grade K-12 except 5th grade!
Mrs. Jones graduated from Franklin College with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education with a major in journalism and a minor in English in 1997. She earned her Master of Science in Education degree in school counseling in 2006 from Indiana University Southeast. In 2019, she finished her second Master of Science from Western Governors University in Educational Leadership.
Mrs. Jones is a member of the Indiana School Counselor Association (ISCA) and the American School Counselor Association (ASCA). She was also on the Board of ISCA and the chair/co-chair for four of the the ISCA Fall Conferences. In May 2017, she was notified that EWES received the Gold Star School Counseling Award for having a comprehensive school counseling program--the highest honor in Indiana for a school counseling program! In November 2017, Mrs. Jones was named the Indiana Elementary School Counselor of the Year! Then, in June 2018, the program received the RAMP (the national award) Award for having a comprehensive school counseling program.

Mrs. Jones loves spending time with the kids! She has small groups to work on specific skills, she does crisis counseling with individual students when they need it, she does short-term individual counseling with students who need extra support, and she does social interventions with students who are having issues with each other.
Mrs. Jones loves to teach! Sometimes she is silly, like she was with ABC Career Days at the end of the year to teach kids more about careers they might not have heard about, or she is active when she does games or reads one of her favorite books (she really gets into those!) during Classroom Guidance lessons. She may be serious when she is talking about important topics or referring to behavior that is happening. But, whatever she is doing, she loves to use it as an opportunity to help young people learn new skills or new information that will help them grow into better friends and community members and people!
Mrs. Endris is so excited to join EWES as one of the school counselors this year! She has been a Musketeer all her life!!!
After graduating from Eastern High School, she attended IU Southeast and became a teacher at the elementary for 17 years. She then spent the last 8 years at the middle school and just moved back “down the hill” for the 2020-21 school year.
She lives with her husband, two children, and Lucy, the dog. Her daughter is a senior at IUPUI in Indianapolis where she is a nursing student. Her son is a freshman at Vincennes University studying Automotive Collision and Refinishing.
Mrs. Endris loves to read, play with Lucy, take pictures (especially of Lucy), and do many different crafts. She also loves to paint. She even painted and redecorated three rooms in her house over summer break!
She look forward to meeting all the students and joining them in their educational journey. Mrs. Endris believes every child is unique, creative, important, and capable of changing the world. Go Musketeers!
